ONE MODULAR FAMILY
Build the system to suit your boat.
SmartWiring uses a family of DIN-rail or bulkhead-mounted distribution products that work together to create the electrical architecture the boat requires.
Use Smart Terminal Blocks where individual circuit protection and monitoring add value. Use Passive Terminal Blocks for straight forward local distribution. All high-current distribution, busbars and the Smart Terminal Controller where required.
The same organised approach runs throughout the system.

SMART TERMINAL BLOCKS
Flexible distribution delivered with Smart Terminal Blocks
One block. One supply or two.
Smart Terminal Blocks use a removable link bar that allows its two fused banks to operate together or independently.
With the link bar fitted, one protected supply can be distributed across all of the block’s fused outputs.
With the link bar removed, the two banks become independent, allowing two separately protected supplies within the same compact block.
On an 8-way Smart Terminal Block, that means:
- 1 supply → 8 individually fused outputs, or
- 2 independent supplies → 4 individually fused outputs from each supply.
The two supplies can be the same voltage — perhaps supplied through different upstream breakers — or different voltages, such as 12 V on one bank and 24 V on the other.
That creates some genuinely useful installation options.
Separate different types of equipment.
Sensitive electronics can be supplied from one protected bank while lighting, pumps or other higher-load equipment use the second. A fault or breaker trip on one bank does not have to remove power from the other.
Divide areas of the boat.
A single 8-way block could serve both the port and starboard cabins. One protected 12 V supply feeds four circuits for the port cabin and a second protected supply feeds four circuits for the starboard cabin.
Lights, fans, USB sockets and accent lighting can then be distributed locally, while each cabin remains independently protected and can be isolated independently upstream.
Combine 12 V and 24 V distribution.
Where a boat uses both voltages, one compact Smart Terminal Block can distribute both, while keeping the two supplies physically separated into their own banks.
And the wiring remains simple: run the two protected supplies to one convenient distribution point, then run duplex cable directly from each fused output to the individual device.
A small block with a lot of flexibility
The configurable two-bank architecture allows different loads, supply voltages and protection strategies to share the same compact distribution point — without adding separate fuse panels, junctions or unnecessary cable runs.
