Why We Are Running a Beta Program

We are preparing to release an early version of the Smart Boat app together with a range of new monitoring and control electronics.

Before a wider launch, we want to work closely with a small group of engaged users who can help us:

• Test real-world functionality onboard
• Provide constructive feedback
• Suggest improvements and new features
• Help shape the direction of the platform

This is not just testing our new app and electronics — it is helping define the future of Smart Boat.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for people who are genuinely interested in marine technology and smarter boat systems. Ideal beta testers may include:

• Raspberry Pi, MQTT, NMEA, Signal K, Open CPN and Grafana
• Marine electricians and installers
• Boat builders or refit specialists
• Early adopters who enjoy integrating new technology with their existing solutions
• Active in the marine community

The most valuable testers are those who:

• Are comfortable providing feedback
• Enjoy helping shape innovative products
• Used to developing new solutions and are actively seeking new tools support their ideas
• Have multiple electronic systems onboard

What Beta Testers Will Receive

Participants in the Beta Test Syndicate will receive:

• Early access to the Smart Boat app
• Opportunities to test the new features and electronics prior to public release
• Purchase the new Smart Boat electronic modules at a discounted price
• Direct communications with the Smart Boat development team
• The ability to influence future functionality

Beta testers will also receive regular updates as new versions and features are introduced during the program.

Because this is a beta program:

Participants will be asked to review and accept the Smart Boat Beta Test Agreement before gaining access.
