Free tools and fair access
The Partner Portal and its development tools are free, and there is no charge for hardware manufacturers to join the community. Commercial arrangements for catalogue sales or promotion may be separate.
Freedom from proprietary displays
Your navigation choices shouldn’t dictate which equipment you can integrate. SmartBoatOS offers an independent route to centralised onboard monitoring and control without making an expensive proprietary multifunction display a prerequisite for compatible hardware.
Boat owners who favour navigation apps such as Navionics or savvy navvy can still choose a separate SmartBoatOS-based system for monitoring and control. This does not imply direct integration with every navigation application.
Open development. Practical tools.
Create branded monitoring and control screens with HTML5 or the SmartBoat Page Builder, explore the simulator and equipment test interface, and develop deeper functions using available system APIs. Smaller manufacturers can work with the same core tools as established suppliers.
